this Website?
The Department intends to keep a flow of information
between our retirees - our extended family - and the
Department. This website started small; however, it
now offers members links to the pension fund and unions,
email lists, calendar of events and information on
how to volunteer.

I help in the event that there is a catastrophic incident
in New York City?
As with any major event, planning for you and your
family’s safety is paramount and should be your
first concern. However, we do intend to offer information
on how to get involved in case of a disaster.
Presently, the Department is developing a plan to
involve retired members in the case of a catastrophic
event. Please check this website regularly for information
on emergency plans in New York City.

an incident occurring in NYC?

- Call 1-888-NYC-SAFE - to report possible terrorist
activity
- Call 311 - for Quality Of Life offenses
- Check back frequently with this website to see
plans for retirees in the event of an emergency.
- Inquire with your local precinct about getting
involved with the NYPD Auxiliary Police service.
- Locally, keep active with precinct community councils.
- Check the Department of Homeland Security website.
